  Worst water softener ever. My 2009 system began malfunctioning in 2014 and required a new conditioning tank. According to the warranty, this should last for 10 years but since I bought the home in 2013, the warranty no longer covered the cost...naturally. A hairline crack, barely visible to the naked eye, formed in the tank which caused it to leak out in my garage. Only 5 years and this $2200+ system is broken (the repair cost me $642). To top things off, I called Culligan HQ and they promised to call me back about my concerns. Do you think this happened? Yeah, don't think so.
